Overview
MiniBC automatically processes subscription renewals through your configured payment gateway. Depending on your subscription volume and billing schedule, this can result in a large number of transactions being submitted within a relatively short period.
Some payment gateways have fraud prevention rules, IP restrictions, or transaction velocity limits that may flag or block this activity.
To help ensure subscription renewals process without interruption, we recommend reviewing your payment gateway's fraud prevention settings and, where supported, allowlisting MiniBC's payment processing IP addresses or creating an appropriate exception for recurring transactions.
Payment Gateway Configuration Guides
The following resources provide information about IP allowlisting, fraud prevention settings, and transaction restrictions for each supported gateway.
Authorize.net
Authorize.net offers a Transaction IP Velocity Filter that limits the number of transactions received from a single IP address within an hour.
The filter supports an IP Address Exclusion list, allowing specified IP addresses to submit transactions without being subject to that filter's hourly limit.

Locate the Transaction IP Velocity Filter section for instructions on configuring exclusions.
Braintree by PayPal
Braintree supports IP and hostname allowlisting for restricting access to its API and Control Panel.
However, API allowlisting is primarily an access-control feature and does not automatically exempt transactions from fraud prevention or velocity rules.
Merchants should review their Risk Threshold Rules and, where applicable, Fraud Protection Advanced settings to ensure legitimate subscription renewals are not being incorrectly rejected.

Stripe
Stripe uses Radar to identify and prevent potentially fraudulent transactions.
Depending on your Radar plan, you can create custom rules and lists to allow or review transactions matching specified criteria, including IP addresses.
Keep in mind that Radar's client IP address refers to the payment's originating customer IP information and may not represent MiniBC's backend processing IP address during subscription renewals.
Documentation:
NMI
NMI provides fraud prevention controls and applies API rate limits that can affect high-volume transaction processing.
IP-based API access restrictions and fraud prevention rules are separate from transaction rate limits. IP allowlisting alone may not resolve high-volume processing restrictions.
If your subscription renewals are being rate-limited, contact NMI support to review your processing requirements.

USAePay
USAePay offers several fraud prevention modules, including IP-based blocking, multiple-card detection, and automated fraud profiling.
These settings may affect subscription renewals when many transactions are processed within a short period.
Review your active fraud modules and contact USAePay support if you need a trusted processing IP address excluded from specific restrictions.

CyberSource
CyberSource provides fraud management functionality through Decision Manager, which allows merchants to configure rules for evaluating potentially fraudulent transactions.
Merchants should review their fraud management settings and contact CyberSource support to determine whether IP-based or recurring-payment exceptions are available for their account.

Recommended Configuration
We recommend that merchants processing recurring subscriptions:
- Review fraud and velocity limits: Ensure your gateway's fraud prevention rules accommodate the expected number of subscription renewals.
- Allowlist trusted IP addresses where supported: Add MiniBC's designated payment processing IP addresses to applicable gateway exceptions, following your provider's instructions.
- Review recurring-payment exceptions: Where IP exclusions are unavailable, ask your payment gateway about rules specifically designed for recurring or merchant-initiated transactions.
- Contact your payment gateway: If you experience transaction blocks or rate limits, request a review of your account's fraud prevention configuration and processing volume.
MiniBC Payment Processing IP Addresses
You can find the IP addresses used by MiniBC for payment processing in the Payments section of your MiniBC dashboard.
When configuring IP allowlisting or exclusions with your payment gateway, refer to the IP addresses listed in this section to ensure you're using the correct information.
